Gardai in Kilkenny had a busy evening on Sunday as they were called to a number of locations to deal with multiple situations.
Throughout the night they had to treat an intoxicated teen, extinguish bonfires, and carried out roadside drug tests resulting in an arrest for Cannabis use.
In a post on Facebook, the gardai confirmed the Fire Service were called to a bonfire on waste ground in the evening that had to be put out.
Then just hours later beat members were called by teenagers to attend to an extremely intoxicated youth under St. Francis Bridge.
At midnight the main gardai on patrol arrested one person after they failed a roadside drug test.
According to the report they tested positive for Cannabis and were taken into custody.
As this was all going on, the gardens said in their post, “the second car crew were tending to curfew checks and routine patrols.
“A number of alarm calls kept the lads on their toes as well.
“Anyway, Unit C are going to their leaba shortly and won't be back in for a few days.
“A cup of tea and maybe a slice of toast wouldn't go astray when they get up. PS. Don't slam any doors and Stay Safe."
