A garda checkpoint was set up in Dublin last night as they continue to search for a dangerous gunman who is on the loose following a shooting last week.
A man was rushed to hospital after he was shot once in Kilbarrack on Sunday, 12 January.
The incident took place at around 9:30pm at St Berach's Place with the victim being treated a short time later at Beaumont Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
In a bid to find witnesses to the shooting incident, gardai at Raheny set up a checkpoint on Swans Nest Avenue in the late hours of last night.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Raheny are currently conducting a checkpoint on Swans Nest Avenue, Kilbarrack trying to identify witnesses to the shooting incident that occurred at St. Berach's Place, Kilbarrack last Sunday night 12th January, 2020."
