IRVING, Texas _ Last year's AT&T Byron Nelson Classic winner, and reigning Masters champion, Sergio Garcia rebounded nicely from an opening 73, shooting a 5-under 65 in more favorable conditions in the morning.
And yet, he said things just don't feel right for him.
Asked what's wrong, he said: "Everything. I mean, don't get me wrong. It's not like I can't hit the ball. It just doesn't feel as smooth as it felt maybe a month ago. But we're working on it."
Let's see. A month ago was just after he won the Masters, so maybe things aren't supposed to feel that awesome after that euphoric moment.
Garcia, who has won twice at the TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas, said it'll be a little sad to see the tournament move next year to Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas.
He listed the TPC as one of his top five or six courses on Tour.
"It is a little sad because we've been here and the complex is great, the golf course is nice, the sports facilities are amazing," he said. "But we'll see next year when we get to the new venue. Hopefully we'll all be surprised and very happy about it, and we'll hopefully have another 30 or 40 years there of happiness."
