Garang Kuol snapped with Newcastle United fans in away end during Fulham win

Newcastle United new boy Garang Kuol has wasted no time getting to know his future fanbase. Just days after signing for the Magpies, the 18-year-old made the trip to West London as his teammates brushed aside Fulham 4-1.

Kuol watched the game from a raucous away end, with Newcastle fans in full voice while watching their side claim a convincing victory. Any plans to stay incognito were quickly scrapped as it did not take fans long to recognise their latest signing.

The Australian international does not officially join United until January and will be immediately loaned back to Central Coast Mariners. It is understood that Newcastle fended off interest from Barcelona to capture the highly-rated youngster - who made his international debut last weekend.

Kuol outlined his ambition to make the Socceroos' World Cup squad next month. He told NUFC TV after his arrival: "It's unreal. As a young boy in Australia, the Premier League is the main thing that everyone watches but nobody actually thinks they'll reach those heights.

“To be one of those people, to be in the position I am, it's amazing. Now that I've signed for Newcastle, I want to train hard, play hard, hopefully go to the World Cup and come back here."
