Garage completely destroyed by 'deliberate' fire in Henbury

A fire took hold at a set of garages in Henbury this morning (Tuesday) and fire crews are still at the scene.

The fire affected two detached garages on Grayle Road after starting around 8.30am.

Avon Fire and Rescue has confirmed one of the garages has been completely destroyed by the fire, which is believed to be deliberate.

Although the blaze damaged the garages, no homes have been affected.

Tom Cook witnessed the fire and posted on social media: "Looks like a large fire off Crow Lane #Henbury hope everyone's OK."

A fire service spokeswoman confirmed the firefighters were still at the scene as of 9.30am today.

She said: "Crews from Patchway, Southmead and Temple were called at 8.30am to a garage fire on Grayle Road, Henbury.

"There was a fire in two detached garages within a rank of garages. One garage was 100 per cent damaged by fire.
