Garage burglaries reported on West Side

Police are warning residents after a string of garage burglaries were reported in Humboldt Park, Ukrainian Village and West Town.

In each case, someone went into garages with unlocked doors and took bicycles and tools, Chicago police said in an alert.

The burglaries took place in June and July.

  • Between 7 p.m. to 7 am. June 27-28 in the 2600 block of West Walton Street
  • Between 9 p.m. to 11 a.m. July 1-2 in the 1700 block of West Chicago Avenue
  • Between 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. June 27-28 in the 900 block of North Fairfield Avenue
  • About 2:30 a.m. June 28 in the 1900 block of West Erie Street
  • Between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. June 29 in the 2000 block of West Rice Street
  • Between 12 a.m. to 10 a.m. June 29 to July 7 in the 2600 block of West Walton Street

Police didn’t have a description of any suspects.
