Gap in Cardiff's St David's shopping centre is shutting and announces closing down sale

Cardiff's Gap store is closing its doors.

Signs in the window said the closure is limited to that store only - but it has previously announced a raft of closures in the UK, Europe and USA.

The Mirror reported in March 2019 that Gap was closing 200 stores over the next two years.

Discounts are being advertised of up to 50% and a minimum of 30% off.

Rails of discounted items are inside the store.

The store used to be on Cardiff's Queen Street but moved into the shopping centre and in its early days Gap was described as a "flagship" store.

Other stores which have recently closed in the shopping centre include Mango, Swatch, Crabtree and Evelyn, Karen Millen and Coast.

Both Gap and St David's were contacted for comment.
