PEN India's Jayantilal Gada, who faced enormous losses in the past few years, had set up the stage for a big bash to be held on March 28- but it did not happen; the social gathering was called off. It is now reliably learnt that it will happen on Friday, April 1. We had brought you the story of the party to be held on March 28.
Gada changed the date because he felt that he would be busy this week with the promotions of his upcoming film 'Attack'. Secondly, he sensed that the attendance would be better if he celebrated it on not a Monday but rather some weekend day. Plus, the party held on April 1 will be closer to Gada's birthday date than otherwise.
What is he celebrating about? Lots of things, not just the success of 'Gangubai Kathiwadi' and 'RRR' frankly. Gada was in hefty losses since the past couple of years but bravely held on. The man took a break from his work and office about 6-7 years ago and later even told his friends and colleagues that his son will take everything forward, but soon returned to his chair when he thought that it was he who should rather give it a second shot' thereafter the father-son duo together steadied the business, made some good and right choices and are now reaping the benefits.
The success of 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and 'RRR' that Gada has produced in recent times has made him very happy and led to this party, which is going to be attended by a lot of celebrities from the film industry.
The bash will be at Sahara Star (Santacruz, Mumbai), as reported earlier. No, the venue has not been changed; just the day and date.
And yes, buzz is, Gada still nurses a dream of an IPO that he is craving for! Maybe it gets realised in days to come.
