LUDHIANA: Gangster Sukhpreet Singh alias Sukha Barewal was shot dead in Haibowal's Joginder Nagar in Ludhiana on Monday afternoon.
Barewal and the accused had gathered at a common friend's house in Haibowal for the compromise of a case. There, they indulged in a spat following which the accused shot Barewal dead in his head.
Importantly, earlier also Sukh Barewal was attacked in 2016 when some miscreants had shot at him after barging into his house. Later on, in April 2022 also some miscreants had kidnapped him however Barewal had jumped off the moving car and had managed to escape.
Sukha Barewal was an infamous gangster who had multiple cases of robbery, arms act, extortion, murder bid etc.
A police official said that Sukha Barewal was shot dead at a house in Joginder Nagar. He had gone there for the compromise of a matter with his rivals. Earlier in 2022 Sukha was kidnapped by some miscreants and it is suspected that the same accused shot him dead. However, these aspects are yet to be ascertained. The police have yet to confirm the number of accused who shot Sukha in his head.
