Gangster Davinder Bambiha alias Davinder Shooter was shot dead by the Bathinda police in an encounter near Rampura on Friday morning.
He was shot at thrice by the police.
Bambiha was wanted for killing student leader-turned-sarpanch Rajwinder Singh alias Ravi Khwajke. He allegedly gunned down Khwajke on February 20 at a marriage function, pumping 14 bullets into his body.
He was wanted in at least six murder cases in all.
Bambiha was an active Facebook user and had blatantly projected the Khwajke murder as his ‘achievement’.
