US rapper Coolio has urged Diarmuid Connolly to rejoin the Dublin team as they bid for a fifth consecutive All-Ireland title.
The Gansta's Paradise star has sent a message to the Vincent's man in a bid to get him back in Blue - but says if he doesn't he could always consider a late career in football of the American kind.
The hitmaker is coming to the capital next week as he headlines Thursday's leg of the Bulmers Live festival in Leopardstown - and revealed to Dublin Live he's got a lot of gra for the island.
Speaking about Connolly he said he should go back to football, but if it's not the round ball then maybe he'd like the pigskin better.
He said: "If I saw him I'd say 'Diarmuid, look, they want you to come back to the team man, they need you, Dublin is counting on you - come on back and do what you do!'
"If not he should try some American football, I'd like to see him do that either.
"I could imagine him with the Patriots, I'm sure Bill Belichick could teach him how to play.
"Maybe they'll let me and Diarmuid on the offensive line and we could try out a few plays.
"I'd love to try play Gaelic but I'm way too old. I'd probably get broke up.
The rapper also showed a lot of love for Dublin's tunemakers - saying he's been particularly impressed by Versatile these days.
He said: "I'd love to work with Bono or U2. There's some great Irish rap going on at the moment too.
"I love Versatile, and how they keep the accent. Their lyrics sound hot as hell and original because they keep the accent.
Ahead of the big day concert on June 13, the chef also said he's got his food lined up already as he'll be popping back to one particular city centre restaurant.
He said: "When I'm in Dublin I'll be going back to the same food place I went last time. I can't remember the names but I know my way there. It's a little restaurant in the centre and it's really good.
"We love coming to Ireland, especially my guitarist AJ, he always says it's his favourite place to play."
Bulmers Live at Leopardstown kicked off yesterday and will be running all sorts of great events right up to August 15.
The man himself will be coming to town on Thursday June 13 - and entry to the day is going for only €17 if you book online or €20 on the day!
