Gangs of London renewed for a second series

A second series of Gangs of London has been confirmed for 2022 by Sky.

The record-breaking drama series has been renewed following the huge success of its premier back in April.

The first episode received more than two million viewers in its first week, becoming the biggest ratings hit for Sky Atlantic in the past five years, beating the likes of Chernobyl and Save Me.

It's also proven popular on Sky's on-demand service as the most binged premiere boxset this year with over 16.6m downloads across the series so far.

The crime drama follows the struggles between rival gangs in London after the head of the city's most powerful family is assassinated.

The series stars Joe Cole, best known for his role as John Shelby in Peaky Blinders, who plays the son of the murdered gang leader and now must step up to take his father's place.

It comes from award-winning filmmaker Gareth Evans and is set to begin filming its second next year with a number of main cast members expected to return.

If you want to catch-up the first series is available to stream on Sky Q and NowTV for non-Sky customers. You can sign up for a free Entertainment Pass trial and then pay £8.99 per month or cancel.
