Armed robbers in a silver Jaguar stole more than £110,000 worth of luxury goods in a raid on a Mayfair fashion boutique.

The four men smashed through the front door of the Celine store in Mount Street in the early hours, threatening two security staff with a shotgun and a knife.

The robbers escaped in a silver S-Type Jaguar — registration AP57 AVO — after the raid at around 2am on Wednesday last week. The car was spotted by police cameras about 10 minutes later, heading north towards St John’s Wood.

Handbags at French brand Celine’s flagship London store can cost more than £5,000 and jewellery over £1,000.

Detective Constable Kevin Parley said: “This was an abhorrent crime that involved a group of men, armed with weapons, threatening serious violence to two unarmed security staff.”

Police have released an image of the Jaguar and Mr Parley appealed to the public for any information on the car “no matter how insignificant it may seem”.

He also asked people working in the fashion industry to contact police if they have been offered designer goods for sale by someone who is “unable to account properly for where they have come from”.

Anyone with information about the raid is asked to call the Flying Squad on 020 8785 8655, or call 101.
