Cushions were stolen and set alight by yobs in a break-in at a building outside a pub.
Police were called to the Golden Lion pub in Rainford at around 5pm on Sunday, January 8 to reports of a burglary. Youths had reportedly gained entry to the outhouse of the pub and stolen cushions.
The cushions were then found in the woodlands behind the pub, having been set on fire after they were taken from the Golden Lion.

Merseyside Police said an investigation is ongoing. A force spokesperson said: "We can confirm we were called following a report of a burglary at The Golden Lion Hotel, on Church Road.
"At around 5pm on Sunday, January 8, it was reported that a group of youths had broken into an outhouse and stole cushions.
"It was later reported that the cushions had been set on fire in the woodlands behind the building.
"Officers attended but the group had dispersed. Inquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible."
