Gang of teenage girls attack woman after row in McDonald's

A woman was punched and had her hair pulled during an attack by a gang of teenage girls after a row in McDonald's.

Police today issued CCTV still of three females and a male they want to trace after an altercation inside McDonald's in Walton Road erupted into violence outside.

Merseyside Police say the victim, a 23-year-old woman, was involved in "a verbal altercation" inside the burger restaurant.

Shortly after the exchange - at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, July 23 - police said the woman was "assaulted by a small group of teenage girls nearby on Walton Road."

The victim was punched and had her hair pulled during the street attack and was left with what police termed "bruising and swelling to the face".

Now detectives have released CCTV images of four people they believe could have vital information as part of the investigation.
