Gang of four people arrested after police chase down stolen vehicle filled with drugs

A gang of four people have been arrested after police chased down a stolen vehicle with drugs inside.

On Tuesday evening, police officers spotted a car 'suspected of being used in a crime' in Bolton.

A chase began and police managed to bring it to a 'safe' end on Chorley Old Road, Heaton.

But when police officers looked inside, they found drugs and a 'lock snap kit'. The car was also discovered to be stolen.

The four people sat in the car were arrested and remain under investigation.

In a statement, officers from Greater Manchester Police's Bolton North said: "On Tuesday evening, December 12, highly trained police drivers from Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit successfully intercepted a vehicle suspected of being used in crime.

"After a short chase the pursuit was brought to a safe, successful end on Chorley Old Road, Heaton.

"All four occupants of the vehicle were arrested with the vehicle being stolen, drugs and also what is being described as a lock snap kit found inside the vehicle.

"The investigation remains ongoing and thus the suspects cannot be named at this time. We’ll update you on this case later."
