A scrambler bike gang member is on the run again after he terrorised a community for years.
John Paul Rea is currently wanted by police after breaching his gang injunction that he was slapped with after causing menace with his yob mates in South Sefton areas.
The 30-year-old was previously called a "one man crime wave" when he went on the run from police for the first time 10 years ago.
Now, Rea is back on the run after breaching a condition of his gang injunction back in August last year.
A description on him has been released by police alongside a mugshot which shows how Rea's appearance has changed significantly since he was last behind bars.
in a statement, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "Detectives are appealing for help with locating 30-year-old John Paul Rea, from Sefton, who is wanted.
"Rea is wanted after breaching a gang injunction in August 2019.
"He is described as 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with black hair."
Rea was jailed for burglary and other offences in 2012, after spending two years evading police.
He was then again jailed for 23 months at Liverpool Crown Court in July 2016 after pleading guilty to dangerous driving, handling stolen goods and possession of criminal property.
At the time of the court case, four years ago, shocking footage surfaced which showed Rea and two other bikers tear up turf on a busy roundabout in Litherland causing £500 of damage and prompting multiple calls to police on December 1, 2015.
CCTV cameras captured the three bikers on a grassy area in the middle of a roundabout on the junction of Sefton Road and Hawthorne Road, circling around and leaving deep tyre marks in the turf.
One of the bikes then broke down and cameras captured Rea helping to push the vehicle through a nearby underpass.
When Rea’s home was searched by police on December 30, the key to a Mercedes car was found stashed behind the lid of a cooker, along with £9,000 in cash which Rea accepted was “criminal money”.
