Gang kicked unconscious man on floor in serious attack on Lark Lane

A man was punched unconscious and then kicked on the ground during a "sickening" attack.

The victim, in his 30s, was on Lark Lane when he was attacked by a group of men, at around 12.30am on Sunday, July 24. He suffered serious injuries in the assault, including a broken jaw and bruising.

Merseyside police have now released images of five men who may have information to assist enquiries into an assault.

Officers say since the incident, they have explored a number of enquiries and are now able to release CCTV images of people who they believe could have information to help the ongoing investigation. All five men captured on CCTV can be viewed below.

Detective Inspector Katie Coote said: "Although several months have passed since this assault, we are just as determined to find the culprits and bring them to justice. This was a sickening assault that left a man in hospital with serious injuries. If you know any information, please get in touch.

"If you are one of these men pictured in the CCTV images, or you recognise any of these men, please contact us to help our investigation. You can pass on any information via DM @MerPolCC, ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 with reference 22000531238."
