A shocking video circulating online shows a gang of around seven youths launching a savage gang attack on a young man on a garage forecourt

The footage appears to have been recorded on a mobile phone at around 9.40pm, shortly after the final whistle of Liverpool's evening fixture against West Ham United on Wednesday. Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident.

The video begins by showing the attackers squaring up to the 18-year-old victim on Oakfield Road, with the stadium visible in the background.

Arriva stop buses after 6pm on estate with hundreds of homes

Arriva have restricted buses after 6pm on an estate with hundreds of homes.

The travel provider announced at 3.30pm on Thursday, October 20, they would be restricting its 413, 414 and 423 services from stopping on the Leasowe estate after 6pm - effective immediately. Arriva said this was due to instances of antisocial behaviour around the Twickenham Drive area in recent days and added that police were investigating.

Buses will now be diverted via Leasowe Castle "until further notice". Arriva is the only travel provider that visits the estate after 6pm, with people only being able to us a train, taxi or car after 6pm.

Girl, 15, shot in the neck at bus stop said she 'didn't want to make a fuss'

A girl who was shot as she waited for a bus home from school told police "it still doesn't feel like it's happened to me".

The 15-year-old was struck in the neck by one of six bullets fired by Rio Jones as he chased another man through the streets of Toxteth on an electric bike. The 19-year-old is currently standing trial charged with the attempted murder of the "target", as well as causing the schoolgirl grievous bodily harm with intent.

Liverpool Crown Court was today played video footage of her recorded interview with police following the incident, which saw her suffer "very serious injuries" - including lung damage and three fractured vertebrae. In it, she described how she was on her way home from school and sat at a bus stop on Upper Warwick Street when she saw a group of men on bikes ride past.
