Gang attack man and teenage girl in horrible St Patrick's Day assault in Tallaght

A man and a teenage girl were injured after they were attacked by a gang on St Patrick's night in Tallaght.

The pair were assaulted by a group of people in the Marlfield Lawns area.

The man, who is in his 30s, was taken to Tallaght Hospital following the attack where is injuries were described as not serious.

The girl, who is in her late teens, was also injured but did not require hospital treatment.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live investigations into the attack are ongoing and no arrests have been made.

He said: "Gardaí attended the scene of an assault on the night of Wednesday, the 17th of March 2021 at Marlfield Lawns, Tallaght, Co. Dublin.

"A male, aged in his 30s, and a female, aged in her late teens, received non-serious injuries following an assault involving a group of unidentified individuals. The male was conveyed to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment of his non-serious injuries.

"No arrests have been made at this stage. Investigations are ongoing."
