Europe's premier gaming event is set to take hold of the community for yet another year, as gamescom 2025 is ready to kick off with several days of announcements and reveals.
Geoff Keighley's Opening Night Live presentation will kick off the festivities on Aug. 19 at 1pm CT, including several new reveals and updates on existing titles. Trailers, release dates, new gameplay, and more will take place to drum up hype for the rest of 2025 and beyond.
So far, the confirmed list of titles set to appear during ONL are Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Resident Evil Requiem, Ghost of Yotei, Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2, Silent Hill f, and World of Warcraft: Midnight. The second season of Prime Video's Fallout series will also make an appearance.
Personally, I cannot wait to see more of Resident Evil Requiem. We got a very small taste of it earlier this year during Summer Game Fest, but it seems like it'll have a big appearance during the show. I'm hoping to see some actual gameplay featuring the new character, Grace, but also, I really want Capcom to confirm that old man Leon S. Kennedy is back for one final romp.
Outside of what we know will be shown, Keighley's shows are always fun for the games that are kept as a surprise. ONL doesn't have a track record for big reveals like Summer Game Fest or The Game Awards, but last year we got a surprise announcement of Borderlands 4, so it's reasonable to expect something similar.
