The Kansas City Chiefs will play during the noon slate on Sunday during Week 9.
There are still several other games taking place that will be important for the Chiefs. In the second half of the season, you’ll want to keep a closer eye on the AFC West and the rest of the AFC. Here are the top games for Chiefs fans to keep an eye on in Week 9:

Titans at Panthers – noon CT
The Tennessee Titans are the Kansas City Chiefs’ opponent in Week 10 and they’re currently on a two-game win streak. Former Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has reignited their offense and has them playing good football. It’s amazing how competent QB play can really change a team.
If Patrick Mahomes doesn’t return this week, he could be eyeing a return against the Titans. They present a big challenge to the Chiefs on both sides of the ball with a strong rushing game and an opportunistic defense.

Lions at Raiders – 3:25 p.m. CT
The Detroit Lions will face the Oakland Raiders in Oakland for Week 9. The Raiders really haven’t done a good job of capitalizing on the games that Mahomes has missed for the Chiefs. They’re still second place in the AFC West standings but they aren’t as threatening as they once were.
Oakland is a much-improved team from a season ago but it’s clear they still have some holes. They lack a threatening weapon at the receiver position. They still need work in the pass rush department, linebacker corp and defensive secondary. Look to see if they can get anything going against a Lions team that is much better than their record shows.

Browns at Broncos – 3:25 p.m. CT
I spoke earlier about competent QB play and it’s something that the Denver Broncos really haven’t seen much of so far this season. With Joe Flacco heading to injured reserve, they’ll lean on Brandon Allen and Brett Rypien.
I’m just curious if this team can get any sort of spark from these young quarterbacks. The Chiefs still have to play the Broncos one more time this season and they’d be a much more threatening team if they could find a quarterback that could challenge defenses a bit more.

Packers at Chargers – 3:25 p.m. CT
The Chiefs hung in against the Green Bay Packers at home. Will the Los Angeles Chargers be able to do the same? Right now, the Chargers are the most threatening AFC West team in the division. They were the only team to win last week, but they’re still two games back.
Philip Rivers will go down as an all-time great quarterback but his time is running out and his play is declining. Can his team rally around him during the second half of the season or will they continue to struggle all the way to the finish line?
