The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Oakland Raiders this Sunday at 3:05 p.m. CT at the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum.
There’s plenty of time ahead of the Chiefs game to take in some more NFL football. There are a few interesting games for fans to keep an eye on. It is still too early to be concerned with the standings, but it’s always good to get a feel for how the Chiefs’ opponents look early on.
Here are the top games for Chiefs fans to keep an eye on in Week 2:

Cardinals at Ravens, Sunday, Sept. 15 – 12:00 p.m. CT
The Kansas City Chiefs face the Baltimore Ravens in their home opener at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 3. In Week 1, they had the most dominant win in the league, scoring 59 points against the Miami Dolphins. Now, the Ravens are set to open at home against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Ravens passing game seems to play off establishing a strong run game. From there they work in run-pass option plays and play action. It’ll be curious to see how a team like the Cardinals handles the Ravens offense. The Cardinals seem to be weaker in the secondary than they are in the trenches on the defensive side of the ball. The Chiefs might be able to learn something during the game when it comes to stopping the Ravens’ offensive attack.

Bears at Broncos, Sunday, Sept. 15 – 3:25 p.m. CT
The Denver Broncos had a suboptimal opening week against the Oakland Raiders. Vic Fangio is a first-time head coach and Rich Scangarello is a first-time offensive coordinator. Plainly speaking, their inexperience showed against the Raiders.
This week the head coach will have some extra motivation to get a win. He’s facing the Chicago Bears team that he was with just a season ago. It’ll be telling if the team rally’s around their head coach and fights for a win in the season opener. If they don’t is it too early to say that Fangio has lost the locker room? Maybe he never really had it at all.
This game comes on shortly after the Chiefs game begins, it’s one that you can flip to at halftime.

Chargers at Lions, Sunday, Sept. 15 – 12:00 p.m. CT
The Los Angeles Chargers get the Detroit Lions on the road a week before the Kansas City Chiefs face the same test. The Lions are coming off the first tie of the NFL season and the Chargers are coming off an overtime win. This game will be a good scouting opportunity for Chiefs fans.
The one thing the Lions have going for them in this game is that the Chargers are already dealing with significant injuries. It looks like they’ll be without Mike Williams and Hunter Henry this week along with several other key players. This could be a game where the Lions have a chance to steal one against an injury-riddled foe.
