A programme of family-friendly summer events are taking place at Liverpool's iconic Strawberry Field attraction.
Running up until August 25, the Imagine Summer events offer families the chance to play croquet, enjoy a picnic and experience the renowned exhibition inspired by John Lennon's legacy.
Strawberry Field is home to an interactive visitor exhibition which includes the original red gates, the Steinway piano on which Lennon wrote and recorded 'Imagine' and the magical gardens where he played as a child.

As part of the programme of summer events, families can also enjoy local artist Sean Webster's graffiti artwork, which delivers a funky, colourful and positive message. The art installation is located in the Strawberry Field gardens and has been designed to allow visitors to interact and immerse themselves in the artwork.

Children aged under 16 can visit the exhibition for free when accompanied with a paying adult. Every ticket sale or donation made at the attraction goes towards The Salvation Army's Steps to Work mission, which aims to provide sustainable employment opportunities for young people with learning difficulties and other barriers to employment.
Every Thursday until the end of August, children are welcome to take part in the attraction's Get Back to Play arts and crafts workshops. Kids can let their imagination run wild and create patterns with gel plates or make their own garden creature to take home.
The programme of activities varies throughout the summer and is suitable for primary school age children. Tickets for Get to Play are to be booked in advance separate to the exhibition and cost £5 per child. Tickets can be booked here.
Sue Harvey, commercial manager at Strawberry Field, said: "The summer holidays are finally here, and we invite local families to come and visit our wonderful grounds. There is plenty to see and do for all ages - and remember, our famous exhibition is free for under 16s.
"For almost 70 years our grounds have been filled with the sounds of joy and laughter from the young people who lived and played here. We hope to continue that tradition through the summer weeks and give local families the opportunity to spend quality time together under the trees."
Strawberry Field is open seven days a week from 10am until 6pm. More information can be found here.
