GamerLegion joins forces with LeonBet Esports ahead of CS2 Budapest Major

German esports organization GamerLegion has officially announced LeonBet Esports (Leon.bet) as its official sportsbook partner, marking a significant new chapter for the team as it gears up for the CS2 Budapest Major.

The partnership will see both parties collaborate on exclusive content, fan-focused activations, and a range of promotional initiatives designed to engage the esports community.

“We’re thrilled to team up with @LeonBet_Esports as the Official Sportsbook Partner of GamerLegion,” the team wrote on X. “Get ready for exclusive content, fresh activations, and an unforgettable season together.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

GamerLegion enters the partnership while competing at the highest levels of CS2. The team currently holds the No. 16 spot in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).

GL is one of the 32 teams qualified for the upcoming StarLadder Budapest Major, scheduled to take place from Nov. 24 to Dec. 14. The squad is set to begin its campaign in Stage 1, aiming to secure a coveted playoff spot in what promises to be one of the most competitive Majors.

As part of its Major preparations, the team is currently competing in the PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, where it opened its run with a 2-0 sweep against FlyQuest in the Swiss Stage.

While Counter-Strike remains its flagship title, GamerLegion has a diverse esports history. The organization has fielded teams in Age of Empires, where its roster famously won the World Desert Championship 2 in 2021, and previously competed in Rocket League.

With the Budapest Major just weeks away, the timing of its sportsbook partnership with LeonBet Esports enables GamerLegion to boost its visibility both in and outside the server.

For Leon.bet, the partnership represents another milestone in its strategy to align with elite esports organizations and solidify its brand in the growing world of competitive gaming. The collaboration with GamerLegion represents a strategic move for the betting brand as it seeks to further strengthen its esports identity ahead of one of the most anticipated CS2 events of the year.

This is not Leon.bet’s first step into esports. Beyond partnerships, the company has been an active supporter of the esports ecosystem, hosting tournaments and sponsoring professional teams across titles like Dota 2, Free Fire, and Deadlock.
