GameDay: See Lee Corso’s headgear pick for Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State

ESPN’s College GameDay was in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday for one of the biggest rivalry matchups in college football: No. 14 Oklahoma State at No. 18 Oklahoma. The Sooners enter as 7-point favorites for the Bedlam game.

But while Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, Rece Davis and David Pollack were broadcasting from Memorial Stadium, Corso continued to do the show from his home studio in Orlando, like he has all season. And his set — which was set up like Augusta National for the Masters last week — was filled with Sooners and Cowboys mascots, flags and giant football.

Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young, who played one season with Oklahoma, was GameDay‘s guest picker for Saturday’s marquee matchup, and obviously, he picked his school to win big. And Corso did too.

“I love picking Oklahoma so I can shoot the shotgun,” Corso said about his headgear pick, which usually includes firing some type of gun when selecting one of these teams to win. “But the last four times I picked Oklahoma, I lost. But the last four times I picked against Oklahoma State, I won. Give me that gun!”

With a cartoonish flair, Corso “fired” a shotgun from his set and a flag with the word “Bang” came out, while Howard in Norman fired another one from the main broadcast.

Corso also picked N.C. State over No. 21 Liberty, No. 15 Coastal Carolina over Appalachian State, Arkansas over LSU, Utah over No. 20 USC, No. 17 Iowa State over Kansas State, Michigan over Rutgers, No. 10 Wisconsin over No. 19 Northwestern, No. 3 Ohio State over No. 9 Indiana and UCF over No. 7 Cincinnati — after which the Bearcats’ mascot pushed the Knights’ mascot into Corso’s pool.
