'Game on' - Kevin de Bruyne namechecks Liverpool after Man City beat Chelsea

Kevin De Bruyne has claimed Liverpool can still win the Premier League title this season despite Manchester City going 13 points clear at the top this weekend.

The Belgian International helped seal a 1-0 victory over Chelsea on Saturday afternoon with a sensational strike yet the City midfielder isn't getting carried away and after the game declared "game on" as he insisted Jurgen Klopp's men are still in the hunt for the title this season.

Speaking to Match of The Day, De Bruyne said: "We know the gap is big for the moment, but Liverpool are not far if they win their games. So game on.”

Chelsea currently sit second with 43 points from 22 games, while Liverpool are in third with 42 points from 20 games.

It may seem unlikely given City's advantage at the top, however, if Jurgen Klopp's side can beat Brentford and win their game in hand against Leeds they will be eight points behind Guardiola’s side.
