Game of Thrones spoilers: Show's creators quizzed about return of White Walkers

Arya Stark may have plunged a Valyrian steel dagger though the chest of the Night King, shattering the White Walkers in the process but that might not be enough to stop them coming back.

The show's creators David Benioff and DB Weiss appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and refused to confirm that the army of undead were defeated for ever.

This could be bad news for those who survived the Battle of Winterfell, and are now turning their attentions to Cersei Lannister and the Iron Throne in Westeros.

The US talk show host asked about what the future holds and Benioff and Weiss surprised him by teasing that there could be a shock return for the feared army.

Kimmel asked: “A couple of questions — I don’t know if you’ll be able to answer them. Are we for sure done with the White Walkers?”

The creators looked at each other before Benioff replied: "We’re not gonna answer that.”

There is another huge battle on the horizon as Cersei's forces along with the Golden Company that she has hired, await the armies from Winterfell.

Cersei's armies stayed in the south, as she decided not to join the fight against the Night King, in the hope of keeping the Iron Throne for herself, once and for all.

With the hint dropped by the show's creators, it could be that Cersei may have more than the armies from the north to contend with, especially if rumours online linking Bran with the Night King are confirmed.

Many believe the reason why the Night King didn't kill Bran was because he went back in time to strike a deal with him but this could have been reneged with Arya's intervention.
