The Mother of Dragons is looking rather downcast in the new promotional images for the Game of Thrones season 8 episode 5: Release date, trailer, title, run time, plot of Game of Thrones season 8 episode 5, as she is approached by both Grey Worm and her sceptical Hand of the Queen, Tyrion Lannister.

The most recent episode saw Daenery Targaryen left more isolated than ever following a succession of victories for her enemy Cersei Lannister, along with a growing sense of isolation as Jon Snow found adoration and she lost more and more of those closest to her.

Troubled by Jon's true heritage, Daenerys went to King's Landing but found herself leaving with a heavy loss.

Tyrion looks gravely concerned while speaking to her at Dragonstone in the aftermath of dragon Rhaegal and friend Missandei's bloody death at the end of the last episode, The Last of the Starks.

Another image shows Varys approaching Jon Snow as he arrives on the shores of Dragonstone - is he now backing Jon for the throne after growing disillusioned with Daenerys?

The photos hint at a huge battle in King's Landing later in the episode, however, as Jon Snow arrives with troops at the walls of the city, flanked by Davos Seaworth and Tyrion.

However, the city is guarded by the fierce mercenary army of the Golden Company, led by their commander Harry Strickland.

Meanwhile, Cersei Lannister watches with a smirk from the safety of the Red Keep, but will the Queen on the Iron Throne stay safe for long?

Finally, Euron Greyjoy stands aboard a ship in the Iron Fleet off the coast of King's Landing, but looks concerned up to the sky.

Fans have been told to expect a huge episode 5, so could this be the episode where King's Landing falls?

And if so, will it be to the actions of Daenerys or Cersei?
