Brace yourselves: Game of Thrones is returning for its eighth and final season.
The final series of the epic fantasy drama will hopefully give us some answers to the show’s many, many mysteries and also promises the longest, most gruelling battle scene yet – plus (fingers crossed) we’ll finally find out who will sit on the Iron Throne.
It’s been almost two years since the season seven finale left fans on tenterhooks, meaning anticipation for the new batch of episodes is higher than ever – and that devotees have had plenty of time to cook up some spectacularly outlandish theories.
Here’s your guide to watching the show in the UK.
What channel does Game of Thrones air on in the UK?

As with the vast majority of HBO shows, Game of Thrones has its UK home on Sky Atlantic. Viewers who don't have a Sky subscription can also watch the show live and on demand using a NOW TV Entertainment Pass.
A NOW TV pass costs £7.99 per month, but new customers can test out the service with a free 7-day trial.
How do I watch Game of Thrones in the UK?

For those dedicated fans seeking to avoid spoilers at all costs (even if it means foregoing a good night's sleep), it will be possible to watch the new episodes in tandem with the US. The first instalment is set to air on HBO in the US on April 14, and will be broadcast simultaneously on Sky Atlantic in the UK at 2am on Monday, April 15.
If you don't fancy the late night (or very early start), Sky Atlantic will then broadcast the episode at 9pm that night. We'd recommend tweaking your Twitter settings to filter out any spoiler-filled posts, just in case.
The series will then continue to air at the same time over the next five weeks, concluding on May 19 in the US and on May 20 in the UK.
How can I watch seasons one to seven of Game of Thrones?
You’re in luck: all seven seasons are currently available to stream on NOW TV in all their dragon-filled glory. Haven’t seen a single episode of the show? If you’re prepared to cancel every non-essential social obligation and sacrifice a few nights of sleep, you might even be able to get up to date before series eight airs…
