Sophie Turner’s Game of Thrones spoiler: Sansa Stark actress slammed for huge episode 3 giveaway on Instagram

Sophie Turner upset fans after posting a huge Game of Thrones spoiler on her Instagram, hours before the main showtime in the UK.

The actress, who plays Sansa Stark in the hit HBO drama, paid tribute to a key character on Monday morning following its airing in the US.

Those who couldn't tune in at 2am were left fuming after she posted a picture of Theon, played by Alfie Allen, who met a grizzly end and died a hero.

Turner wrote: “To Alfie and to Theon…. 'You’re a good man'.”

One fan wrote: “Jeez, not everyone in Europe has seen the episode yet. Dammit.”

Another raged: “British girl ruins the show for British fans..”

For the battle: Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark (HBO)

“Oh come on Sophie it’s not even been on in the UK yet ffs. Proper s***** move this is,” commented somebody else.

Some even said they were “contemplating unfollowing” Turner until after the final season has finished in case she continues to struggle to “wait 48 hours to post”.

But others were quick to defend Turner, pointing out that it would be wise to avoid social media if you didn’t want to know any spoilers ahead of time and were “rude” to “police” what Turner was allowed to post.

Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 4 Preview

“I don’t know why anyone is complaining of spoilers. If you know it’s aired elsewhere, and you haven’t seen the new episode yet, then maybe you shouldn’t be on social media. Just a thought...,” wrote one user.

Another posted: “To all you SPOILER screamers. Why don't you just stay away from social media until you watch the episode? You can't avoid the spoilers.”

Turner is known for her live reactions to the fantasy show, posting Instagram videos on her story usually referring to big scenes involving her on-screen sister Arya.

Her most recent video saw her joke about Maisie Williams' character being “that b****” in reference to her defeating the Night King.

Game of Thrones airs Mondays at 2am and 9pm on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV.
