Game of Thrones script reveals Jon Snow didn't actually forgive Sansa Stark betrayal

The lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Game of Thrones brought its controversial final season to an end earlier this year with the epic finale episode The Iron Throne.

However, with the release of the Emmy-nominated script by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss , more and more details have emerged about where we left the characters.

One of the major plot developments of the final season was the tension between Queen Daenerys Targaryen ( Emilia Clarke ) and Lady Sansa Stark ( Sophie Turner ) and how this left Jon Snow ( Kit Harington ) torn between them.

When Jon learned his Targaryen heritage, he told his Stark siblings but swore them to secrecy in a bid to protect his beloved Daenerys.

Sansa didn't keep this promise, however, and told Tyrion and the secret was out.

The finale saw Jon forced to kill Daenerys after her murderous actions - which partially came about through her increasing paranoia due to Jon's lineage being revealed.

Now the script shows that Jon didn't forgive Sansa's betrayal when he is reunited with her before departing King's Landing for exile at the Wall.

The script reads: "Jon stands in front of Sansa. He hasn't entirely forgiven her for betraying the oath he made her swear in the godswood."

It does add, however: "He knows she loves him. He knows she only wants what’s best for the North. But still..."

The pair end the meeting in an embrace, but it's clear the betrayal did sting Jon.

Sansa played the game and won, however, as she ends the series as Queen in the North.

All hail the Queen in the North!
