Viewers were left on the edge of their seats during the explosive Battle of Winterfell this week.

In the biggest battle the HBO show has ever seen, a host of much-loved characters were killed in heartbreaking scenes.

There was a long list of high-profile casualties from the final season's third episode, but some characters' fates were shrouded in mystery.

Jon Snow's faithful Direwolf, who only returned to the show last week after a long absence, was seen racing alongside Jorah Mormont and the Dothraki army towards the whites.

The Dothraki were wiped out almost instantly by the dead and there was no sign of Ghost for the rest of the episode.

However, he has been spotted in a teaser for the fourth episode of the season.

Ghost can be seen standing alongside the Winterfell heroes as they head out of the castle.

There is also good news for dragon fans as the two remaining living dragons were also spotted in the trailer.

There were major concerns that Rhaegal had been killed by undead sibling Viserion after an epic fight in the skies.

Jon Snow was knocked off the injured dragon as it came crashing down into the snow.

While Drogon was also feared dead after he was attacked by hordes of whites before collapsing down next to Daenerys.

Both the dragons were spotted flying over Winterfell in the teaser clip - confirming they are both safe for now.

It seems like the action will still be coming thick and fast in the next thrilling episode of the final season.

Attention will shift to Kings Landing as most of Westeros attempts to dethrone Cersei Lannister.

Raising a cup to the winners at Winterfell, Dany says: "We have won the great war. Now we will win the last war"

But it seems Cersei, who stands alongside Euron Greyjoy, has a cunning plan to keep her place on the Iron Throne.

Daenerys adds: "We’ll rip her out - root and stem."
