Game of Thrones' Nikolaj Coster-Waldau says NO ONE has correctly guessed the show's ending

Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has revealed that he has not yet read any fan theories that correctly predict the show’s ending.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Danish actor, who plays Jaime Lannister on the hit HBO show, said that he was “blown away” by the finale.

“I’ve never read anyone who got the whole thing,” he told Kimmel. “When I read it the first time I was blown away.

“I wrote Dan [Weiss] and David [Benioff], the two creators and said ‘I don’t know how you did it but I can’t imagine a better way of ending the show.’

“It’s that satisfying?” Kimmel then asked, prompting the actor to describe the show’s conclusion as “sad-isfying.”

Earlier in the show, Coster-Waldau opened up about the intense secrecy surrounding the final season, telling Kimmel that he had accessed the scripts for series eight using an app.

“First you had to download an app because of course, you can get [scripts on] paper any more,” he said.

“When you’d finish them they would magically disappear […] we don’t have the script for season eight, it’s a little sad.”

Kimmel went on to quiz the star over a selection of fan theories as he attempted not to give away any spoilers.

Speculation that Jaime will kill his sister Cersei and Bran Stark will be unveiled as the Night King were among the host’s suggestions, with Coster-Waldau hailing the first theory as “cool.”

Benioff and Weiss revealed yesterday that they have hidden the “answer” to the show’s ending in a new Spotify playlist, titled Game of Thrones: The End is Coming.

“The answer to the ending is 100 per cent hidden in the playlist choices, they told Spotify’s For The Record. “No one will believe us, but it’s true.”

The first episode of season eight will premiere on HBO in the US on April 14, and will be broadcast simultaneously in the UK on Sky Atlantic at 2am on April 15.

It will be repeated at 9pm that evening, and will also be available to stream on demand on NOW TV.
