Game of Thrones likely to ‘torture’ fans with unsolved mysteries

Mysteries: Actor Kristian Nairn played Hodor (Picture: Rich Polk/Getty)

Game of Thrones star Kristian Nairn has said George RR Martin is likely to “torture” fans with the ending.

The actor, who played Hodor, said there will probably still be “questions” when the show concludes. Martin, who wrote the books that inspired the series, is working on two volumes to complete the saga, but has shared the ending with the TV show’s creators.

Nairn, pictured, said: “I wouldn’t be surprised — just from knowing George — if there were some questions left at the end. He’s a bit of a torturer — in a friendly way.”

Nairn, 43, who is now a house DJ, will play in Brixton this month at Rave Of Thrones, a Game Of Thrones-themed club night. He said: “I get to fuse together two things I love.”

Fans have speculated Hodor will be resurrected in the latest series, but Nairn refused to be drawn on rumours, adding: “Maybe he escaped and lives a life of luxury in a holiday in the forest.”

Rave Of Thrones takes place on Friday at Electric Brixton
