Game of Thrones fans think Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are dead after Peter Dinklage shares cast snap

Game of Thrones fans have been sent into meltdown after show star Peter Dinklage shared an image of the cast without staple heroes Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke.

The actor, who plays Tyrion Lannister on the hit drama, sparked speculation that the two core characters will meet a brutal end in the final season.

Dinklage posted a snap of himself alongside the main cast, including Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams.

However, Harington and Clarke were notably absent from the shot, which was simply captioned with a flame emoji.

Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister on the show, was also nowhere to be seen in the group picture.

Fans were left feeling panicked as they flooded to the comments section to quiz the actor on the whereabouts of his other co-stars.

One panicked user wrote: “Everyone not in this pic dies in next series the end BAM!”

Another commented: “Are these the only ones remaining alive at the end?”

“Hint these are the only survivors at the end of season 8,” said a third.

The snap comes after Harington told how he sought therapy after Jon Snow was “killed off” in the season five finale.

The actor revealed that he struggled when he “became the cliffhanger of the show” after the series' concluding instalment appeared to show the demise of his character.

Reflecting on the crucial moment in the HBO show’s history, Harington admitted that he was thrown into the limelight having people asking him if he was “really dead” after being spotted filming, and said that the level of focus on his character left him feeling “vulnerable”.

Harington also told how he was “very emotional” when he concluded filming as Jon Snow, admitting it felt like “shedding” a part of him.

Game Of Thrones will return for a final series on April 15, simulcasting with the US at 2am. Episodes will be repeated at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.
