Sophie Turner has revealed that Game Of Thrones co-star Maisie Williams is set to be her maid of honour when she marries Joe Jonas.
Williams, who plays Arya Stark in the HBO hit, had previously confirmed that Sansa Stark actress Turner had asked her to be a bridesmaid at her wedding to the singer, who proposed in 2017.
But, speaking at the series eight premiere on Wednesday, Turner revealed that Williams’ role in her wedding will actually be bigger after overhearing her friend talk about what she was going to wear to the special day.
“I don't know why she's thinking about [what she's wearing to my wedding],” Turner told Entertainment Tonight. “I'm giving her the bridesmaid dress!”
Turner added: “She's my maid of honour! One of two."
The two immediately formed a close bond when they met on the set of the first series of Game Of Thrones, which hit screens back in 2011.
Plot details for the final series, which starts in two weeks, are being kept tightly under wraps but Williams has revealed that the Stark sisters team up in the last run of episodes.
“It’s not often you see a character siding with Sansa who’s not manipulating her,” Williams told Entertainment Weekly.
“This season you see Arya teaming with Sansa and sometimes calling out Jon. It felt nice and powerful to stand next to Sophie.”
The actress added that it didn’t really require any acting to make sure the chemistry was real on-screen because the pair are the “tightest of friends” already.
Game Of Thrones will return for a final series on April 15, simulcasting with the US at 2am. Episodes will be repeated at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.
