Game of Thrones actor's Liverpool claim shows pure Manchester United jealousy

Game of Thrones star John Bradley should stick to acting.

The Manchester United fan who played Samwell Tarly on the hit HBO series, responded to a photo of Virgil van Dijk posing in celebration with the Champions League and Premier League trophies and declared it 'embarrassing'.

In a post he said : "Imagine in 2009 when we won the PL but lost the CL final our players had carried on posing for photos with both trophies?? They’re something else."

It's pure jealousy.

They're ours. We won them both.

We have it and we will be the team who has had the Champions League trophy for longer before another side are allowed to hold it.

Liverpool were knocked out of the European competition just before lockdown by Atletico Madrid but are the current holders and are now Premier League winners at the same time.

Even if the rules dictated that the losing team should return the trophy as soon as they lose in the competition, Liverpool wouldn't be handing it over to their bitter rivals Manchester United - they're not even in the competition!

They need to knuckle down and concentrate on the Europa League themselves.

Winning that competition would save them from their own embarrassment this season.

I really don't know if they're a threat for the Premier League in the next campaign. They've come a long way since lockdown and the season restarted.

Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford for me are two fantastic players.

All I can say is that I hope they're not coming for the throne!
