Saturday's recap: Bulls 107, Pelicans 100

Dec. 28--The summary

The Bulls won their sixth straight game Saturday night as they dispatched the talented Pelicans 107-100 at the United Center. In a seesaw affair, the Bulls took an 80-71 advantage into the fourth quarter. Anthony Davis had 29 points, 11 rebounds and six blocked shots. Jimmy Butler provided the answer as he scored 33 points. Derrick Rose added 19, Aaron Brooks 13, Taj Gibson 12 and Nikola Mirotic 10.

Butler led an 11-3 run in the third quarter to put the Bulls on top 72-65 midway through the period.

Butler provided the hustle, energy and points down the stretch as the Bulls' go-to player.
