GAME customers across the UK have been left unhappy after hearing their pre-orders of Sony's PlayStation 5 have been delayed.
Customers have vented their anger towards the high street gaming giant after some were hit with delay e-mails and delivery confusion.
The PlayStation 5 launched at midnight on November 19 and is expected to be one of the UK's biggest selling next-gen consoles following the Xbox Series X's release on November 10.
Gamers who pre-ordered with GAME however, are worried they won't get their console on release day.
Some have revealed their couriers have been changed last minute, despite paying extra for special delivery, while others believe their console is in 'limbo' after confusion between couriers and GAME themselves.
One displeased gamer Tweeted: "My PS5 is being delivered on the 20th, by Yodel, even though @GAMEdigital charged me for Royal Mail delivery on the 19th.
"This is just shameless but so unsurprising."
Another added: "...meanwhile, mine is in limbo somewhere with you guys (GAME) saying Yodel has it and it's coming today, and Yodel saying they never received it.
"Amazing, really great guys!"
Another Tweeted: "Good luck to us all in the will Yodel deliver my #PS5 today lottery."
Yodel responded to the issue, Tweeting:
An e-mail from GAME to some unfortunate gamers today reads:
"Due to the volume of PlayStation 5’s in the UK market and the size of the product, the launch has led to UK wide delivery challenges for all Retailers and Couriers.
"Our aim has always been to ensure that as many orders arrive on time for release day as possible therefore, we have had to secure multiple couriers to help try to achieve this.”
