Going on holiday or even a business trip can be exciting - you get to explore a new place.
But while staying in a hotel can be very enjoyable, it can also have its downsides.
And one of the biggest downsides is that it can be very hard to get to sleep in a new place, especially if it's just too bright in your room.
However one very clever social media user has come up with a way to make sure the curtains stay firmly closed all night, stopping as much light getting through as possible - and all you need is one thing.
In a viral post on Twitter a man named Rick revealed how he'd taken one of the hotel coat hangers with clips on it from the wardrobe.
He'd then proceeded to use the clips to pin the curtains together, closing the gap in the middle.
The user shared a photo of his nifty trick, admitting he'd spotted someone else doing it online earlier in the week.
He captioned the post: "I don't remember who posted this on Twitter a few years ago, but whoever you are: you have improved every night I've spent in a hotel since."
The tweet has since been liked more than 399,000 times and had over 72,000 retweets.
It then prompted other people to begin sharing their own hotel hacks.
One person replied: "Your ironing board is an adjustable height desk. Since the chairs are never the right height, use the ironing board for long hotel work."
Another said: "My hotel hack is that you can literally put any card in the slot that turns on the electricity, so you can leave the room with your device charging inside."
A third added: "TV remote apps on your smart phone are the BEST invention EVER. I havent touched a hotel remote in a year and a half!"
