He may not have got the winning goal, but Callum Hudson-Odoi is the name on the lips of many Chelsea fans this evening (Wednesday) after his impact off the bench against Lille.
The forward came on as a substitute in the second half with the score at 1-1, with Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard looking for an impact in attack off the bench as his side looked for a winner.
He got just that from the teenager, with Hudson-Odoi supplying the assist for Willian to net the winning goal in France as Chelsea got on the board in their Champions League Group H campaign, having lost their opening game against Valencia.
Hudson-Odoi injected some pace and power into Chelsea's attack, with a willingness to take players on and get the ball into the box.
But it was his role in the goal that got Chelsea fans talking.
Finding himself on the left wing, he showed strength to outmuscle his opponent, before delivering a floated cross over the top of the Lille defence, which was perfectly weighted for Willian to set himself and volley home the winning goal.
And although it was the Brazilian who applied the finish, Hudson-Odoi was the player Chelsea fans were singing the praises of.
Here's what some Chelsea fans said about the 18-year-old.
