A Galston street has been closed off today after the body of a man was found.
Officers have taped off large areas near The Wee Train pub on the town's Wallace Street as they deal will the incident.
Police remain on the scene as they work to establish the exact cause of death, which is being treated as unexplained for now.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "At around 6.20am on Wednesday, July 24, the body of a man was found at a property in Wallace Street, Galston.
"A post-mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, which officers are currently treating as unexplained.
"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
