Galston man says yobs who hurled BRICKS at his new £54,000 car could’ve killed his wife.

A furious Galston man has launched a scathing attack on yobs who hurled bricks at his car.

Brian Paterson said the attack that took place last week could’ve killed his wife.

The 52-year-old was driving from Crookedholm to Kilmarnock on Thursday, August 15 at around 1.30pm when bricks landed on the roof of his brand new BMW 435.

Brian had only had his dream motor three weeks when the frightening episode took place with his wife in the passenger seat.

“I don’t even want the car anymore,” Brian told the Kilmarnock Standard. “I’ve worked my ass off to have this and at 52 it’s the first BMW I’ve ever had. Gutted doesn’t come close.

“I hope they find out who did this before I do, they could have killed my wife never mind the damage.”

Brian now faces a costly repair bill with both the front and rear windows having to be replaced along with the headlining, a full roof respray and a new rear quarter glass.

Brian initially posted the incident on Facebook. He wrote: “Travelling to Kilmarnock from Crookedholm, through the railway bridge and some arsehole has thrown bricks and hit the roof of our car.

“Turned around to see if anyone was about and another brick hit the side window on the passenger side indicating that the scumbag was on the Campbell fuels side of the road.”
