Galloway Mountain Rescue Team receives £1,000 cash boost from Creebridge Garage

Galloway Mountain Rescue Team has received a £1,000 cash boost.

The generous donation came courtesy of Creebridge Garage in Minnigaff after customers voted the team top choice.

The gift campaign by Gulf Oomph Fuel Rewards runs across Gulf sites around the UK.

GMRT was one of ten lucky good causes to each be awarded £1000.

Team leader Stewart Gibson said: “It’s a real honour that customers of Gulf in Creebridge have voted for Galloway Mountain Rescue team.

“This award will help ensure that the volunteers of GMRT are suitably equipped in continuing to provide search and rescue services throughout our communities.”

Gerry Welsh, Gulf head of retail marketing, said: “During the pandemic local community groups and charities have suffered as they rely so much on donations from the public.

“We are pleased to announce our first Gulf Oomph Fuel rewards charity giveaway where we are giving away £10,000 each quarter to local community groups and charities around the UK.”
