Gallagher brothers banked £69,000 a week before Oasis reunion tour even began

Noel and Liam Gallagher were cashing in long before stepping back on stage together with new accounts showing the Oasis frontmen were earning £69,000 a week last year.

The Manchester siblings have already made millions from their sold-out reunion tour, which kicked off earlier this summer and is set to span more than 40 stadium dates worldwide. However, financial filings for Oasis’ company, Big Brother Recordings, reveal that the band raked in £3.6 million in the 12 months to December 31, 2024 before their comeback was even announced.

The figures push total assets at the firm, which manages publishing revenues and other music earnings, to more than £10.2 million.

The bumper profits were boosted by the 30th anniversary reissue of the band’s debut album Definitely Maybe, which topped the UK charts last August.

Following confirmation of the reunion a year ago this week, Oasis’ back catalogue also surged in popularity. Compilation Time Flies and their 1995 classic (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? both re-entered the Top Five, while singles Live Forever reached a new peak at No8, Don’t Look Back in Anger climbed to No9, and Wonderwall returned at No11.

With the reunion now in full swing, the Gallaghers’ income for 2025 is expected to dwarf last year’s numbers.

The band launched the North American leg of their comeback tour with a show in Toronto on Sunday, with dozens more dates scheduled across the US, Europe and the UK.

As well as ticket sales, the Britpop icons have cashed in on merchandise, with vintage-style T-shirts and hoodies seen on fans across festival fields and city high streets.

Industry experts predict their overall takings this year will run comfortably into the tens of millions.

Oasis are also said to be weighing up their next move.

According to The Sun, proposals on the table include four blockbuster shows at Knebworth House to mark the 30th anniversary of their legendary 1996 gigs.

There is also talk of a residency at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium – the home ground of the Gallaghers’ beloved football club – as well as headline slots at major festivals such as Coachella in the US and Benicàssim in Spain.
