PSV fans riot against Galatasaray as Celtic's Champions League foes see tensions boil over

There were ugly scenes in the stands of the PSV and Galatasaray Champions League qualifier on Wednesday.

The winner of the second clash will face off against Celtic or Midtjylland in the next round.

That would look to be the Eredivise outfit as they demolished Galatasaray 5-1 on home turf in the first leg.

Meanwhile the defeated side will face a Europa League trip to face Scottish Cup and League Cup winners St Johnstone.

Despite the convincing win for Roger Schmidt's side, incidents off the park took the limelight off a dominant performance in the Netherlands.

The travelling support had pulled a goal back, to make the score 2-1 through Emre Kilinic just before half-time.

After the midfielder had given the Turkish side a lifeline in the game, the visitors took to the home stand to celebrate the strike.

It provoked an angry reaction from the home fans who chased them out of the home support, and in an online clip fists can be seen being thrown between fans.

The two sides face off in Istanbul in the second leg on Wednesday July 28.
