Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has launched eight initiatives targeting various sectors in the fields of civil aviation and logistics, reported the Saudi Press Agency Monday.

The initiatives includes the expansion of airports, air cargo services, aviation safety, developing navigation systems, flight scheduling, domestic air ticket rates, supporting Saudi airlines, technology and innovation and improving overall customer experience at airports.

GACA’s initiative is part of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), seen as one of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 programs aimed at transforming the Kingdom into a leading industrial power and logistics platform.

The NIDLP was launched last month in a ceremony that was presided over by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
