Gabriel Martinelli will return to the Arsenal squad for their Premier League encounter with Newcastle on Monday.
Martinelli was forced out of the Arsenal line-up ahead of the FA Cup tie with the Magpies last Saturday with manager Mikel Arteta fearing the worst.
Arteta said at the time: “He was in a lot of pain and we're going to have to see how he is. I imagine we're not going to have good news with him.”
However, a scan on Monday revealed there was no major damage and the Brazilian can be expected to return to action shortly.
The game against Crystal Palace came too soon for the forward, but an appearance against Steve Bruce's side on Monday is possible.
Martinelli was pictured in training with his team-mates on Wednesday and is in contention to feature against Newcastle.
Meanwhile, Pablo Mari will continue to spend time on the sidelines recovering from his calf injury, while Kieran Tierney faces a late fitness test ahead of the game.
The Gunners beat Newcastle in the FA Cup last week and are currently 11th place in the Premier League ahead of Monday's match.
