Gabriel Jesus identifies problem for Man City manager Pep Guardiola ahead of Real Madrid fixture

Gabriel Jesus believes that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has a difficult decision to make on what his starting line-up will be for this week's meeting with Real Madrid.

City will return to Champions League action on Wednesday when they travel to Spain for the first leg of the last-16 knock-out tie against the competition's most successful side.

City forward Jesus has revealed he has sympathy for his manager in choosing an XI to start the match, with all of the players desperate to play at the Bernabeu.

“I think it’s going to be a good game and atmosphere,” Jesus told the City website .

“It’s an important game, that’s the challenge, a game like that, all the players want to play this kind of game, so I think for Pep, it’s going to be crazy to decide the line-up.”

City prepared for the match by picking up a crucial win in the race for second place in the Premier League, defeating third-placed Leicester City 1-0 to open up a seven-point gap between the two sides.

Jesus scored the winner and the Brazilian thinks the victory was the perfect preparation for the trip to Madrid.

“[Leicester] are a good team, a good club, they have a lot of quality, they play deep, [it was a] tough game and the atmosphere was so hot," Jesus added.

“It’s a little bit the same I think [against Real Madrid], I have never been in the Bernabeu but I think the atmosphere is good so that’s amazing for us to win here to get confidence for Wednesday.”
